FAQ

Answers for setup, booking logic, integrations, billing, and support

This page covers the most common operational questions before and after launch.

Getting started

How quickly can we start using DJ Reception?

Most teams can configure baseline locations, services, and rules in one working session, then expand incrementally.

Do we need to migrate all operations at once?

No. You can onboard by location, team segment, or service category to reduce disruption.

What setup is required before using the AI agent?

The AI agent depends on required setup state, such as channel connection and booking context configuration.

Booking rules and conflicts

How does DJ Reception prevent double-booking?

Conflict checks run at booking submission. A booking is blocked when slot availability is no longer valid.

Can we control lead time, buffers, and slot spacing?

Yes. Booking rules include slot interval, lead time, buffer time, and maximum bookings per slot.

How are blackout dates managed?

Blackout windows are configured per location and are applied during availability checks.

Team assignment and auto-assign

Can customers choose a specific team member?

Team-member selection can be optional based on your booking flow configuration.

What happens when team-member selection is not required?

DJ Reception can auto-assign the first available eligible team member mapped to the selected service.

Google Calendar sync and privacy

Is Google Calendar integration account-wide or per user?

Integration is configured per user.

What sync modes are available?

You can run one shared calendar for all locations or dedicated calendars per location.

How does two-way sync work?

DJ Reception bookings create or update calendar events, and calendar events can block app availability.

Are private calendar event details stored in DJ Reception?

No. Private events are represented as Private without storing event detail content.

Instagram messaging and AI handoff

Can inbound Instagram messages be used in booking workflows?

Yes. Instagram integration supports inbound customer messaging inside booking communication flow.

What happens when the AI agent is not confident?

The agent can issue fallback messaging and hand off to a team member for manual continuation.

Is WhatsApp available at launch?

No. Current launch scope includes Instagram for channel-based messaging.

Billing lifecycle and limits

Do plans start as paid subscriptions?

Yes. DJ Reception plans begin as paid subscriptions.

What billing states should we expect?

Lifecycle states include active, past_due, canceled, and unpaid.

What does past_due mean in practice?

past_due includes a 3-day grace period before additional enforcement behavior.

Security, data handling, and support

What activity is audited?

Audit logs include communications and booking status history, with admin-restricted access.

How do we ask for help and track requests?

In-app help and feedback submissions include tracking ID confirmation for follow-up.
